When I threw my son a 1950s Hot Rod Bash I knew I wanted to make some ice cream floral arrangements. I'm a flower junkie, it's a sickness really!
Supplies:
- Carnations (number depends on how big or small your arrangements will be. I purchased 100 white carnations from samsclub.com and a handful of red ones from my local grocery store)
- Vases, vessels, clear water glasses, milkshake glasses and ice cream bowls
- Oasis Rainbow Foam Powder
- Mixing bowl and spoon
- Water
- Flower Food
Step 1. Mix your oasis rainbow foam powder with water. It will look a little chunky like above.
Step 2. Pour your mixed oasis rainbow foam powder into your vase and compact it down using your hand or spoon.
Step 3. Continue step 2 until your vase is full of oasis rainbow foam powder. {If you want it to look like a true milkshake then make sure to press one side of the foam down farther than the other to create an angle before layering on the next color of foam.}
Step 4. Now start sticking in your carnations until you have no holes. Make sure to add a red carnation on top to act as a cherry!

Step 4. Add a couple of paper straws.
I placed these on my ice cream bar and made such a fun accent! Make sure to do lots of different height vases.
These are small arrangements I made by using vintage milkshake glasses and ice cream sundae bowls. Grouped together down the center of my dinning table they made for a really fun centerpiece.
These arrangements are farely quick to make once you have all of your supplies. Change the color of the oasis rainbow foam powder or the color of the carnations for a different arrangement.
